Today we have started the V International Festival of Youth Creativity – Folk Inspirations. The opening parade went along Piotrkowska Street from Schiller Passage to Wolności Square. There were many participants from all around the world (Poland, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, Algeria, Italy, China, Greece, Russia, Turkey) who joyfully set off the main road of the city dressed in their colourful, national costumes.
Our parade was led by Trambus with an orchestra ZHP – OSP Uniejów and was finished by groups from China and Italy. The final point of the parade was an international party on Wolności Square celebrated by all to the sounds of the Ukrainian band. At the end all participants sand a song of “Enej” band – “We will build a house” which is this year’s festival song. Its lyrics perfectly capture the atmosphere of the festival.
